Meaning:

Stepping is a form of dancing that comes from African American culture in the 1900s, where one uses their body to dance to the percussive drum beat. Stepping is normally done with groups of two or three people. It is a little hard to do, but with the right amount of practice and confidence, anyone can accomplish this task. This video also shows the excitement and determination this fraternity had. Although some members may have been shy, they overcame their fear and helped continue these traditions that began in the mid 1900s. This step-show demonstrates the folklore of African American Greek Life.
